I am using portfolios to follow our yearly work plan. Every portfolio represents a certain object, and presents information from varios project boards linked to this object.
I have 22 such portfolios, each with approximately 5 boards in average (so a total of 110 boards). Is there a way to view aggregated information and data from all of them at once? (like, a portfolio of the portfolios?) Or will I have to create a new portfolio and link each one of the 110 boards to it?
Hi Ron, if you are open to using apps, you can try using Master Data for this. No Connected Board limits with it either. For the 22 portfolios you will need to add an automation, and the Master Data Board view to each where you can map your columns to a ‘Master Portfolio’s Board’. This appears to be a limitation of the Portfolio function in Monday.com - something I hope they fix, as I too could use a “master portfolio” as well. Depending on your needs, you could move everything to a single portfolio, add a column of data used to group by and report on distinct types of projects in the portfolio - which is something that I may need to move to myself, with a similar situation to yours.
Perhaps being able to have projects in more than one portfolio is on the list for improvements in this in the Portfolio feature.
