A native bi-directional automation that will update an Item or Subitem timeline column, or date column(s), whenever one of those columns is updated. The AI extraction feature allows this one-directionally from timeline to date columns for both Items and Subitems, but you can’t create the automation in the other direction so the timeline column is updated if a date is changed for that item/subitem.

You can use this automation:
When start date and end date are set,
generate a smart timeline.
It updates the timeline column automatically any time the date fields are changed.
To complete the sync, you can pair it with:
When the smart timeline is set,
update the start and end date columns accordingly.
So changes to the timeline will also update your date fields.

Thanks, Avo. We do have an app that does this for Items, but our company is not currently reviewing or allowing additional apps, so we really need native solutions.
